ARRIVAL
from Hintertux to the Spannagelhaus
Once you arrive in Hintertux, you can park your car there for free.
At the cable car station, you´ll receive a lift ticket that allows you to take three cable cars up to the
"Gefrorene Wand" on 3250 meters.
The Spannagelhaus and the natural monument Spannagelcave are located at the second section
"Tuxer Ferner Haus" on 2660 meters.
After a short walk (approx. 10 minutes) downhill to the Spannagelhaus, you´ll reach the Spannagelhöhle.

The Spannagelhöhle is located at the Hintertux Glacier, slightly below Section II (Tuxer Fernerhaus), directly next to the Spannagelhaus.
Please allow at least 40 minutes for the ascent by glacier cable car and the walk to the cave.
Warm, weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear are required; hiking poles are recommended.
🐾 Dogs are not permitted inside the cave.
